Hello Travellers,

       I'm Boopathi.Nice to meet you, Hope you all are safe and healthy, praying and hoping things to get better tomorrow. It’s so good to see how our travel community is growing everyday. This is a small circle of support that we tried to build over past few years. We are one big family today. With this current COVID situation we as a traveller have lot of responsibility towards building a eco system where we take care of our Mother Earth once we go back to our normal routine life. We also want to highlight couple of instances where it’s our responsibility to provide a safe space to our fellow female travellers. This has been noticed whenever a female traveller post on this community there are numerous friend requests and messages are being sent to her by our community members. And this makes many of them go away from the group. We believe in building a safe place for everyone irrespective of the ‘Gender’. This community is for ‘Travellers’ irrespective what your gender is. We would like to request all such community members to refrain any such practices and support each other.

Journey to the Land of Coconut Trees And Backwaters – Kerala (Part 3) Varkala : A beautiful tiny township that lies on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram city attracts thousands of foreign and domestic tourists every year. Varkala is the only site in Kerala where cliffs are found alongside the Arabian Sea. We spent our next two days at Zostel Varkala , right next to the famous Black Sand Beach. Varkala is all known for its beaches; one of the most famous beaches is Black Sand Beach, where the sand is actually black. Apart from the black sand beach, other famous beaches are Papanasam Beach and Kappil Beach, which famous for water sports.  The next morning we went to Kappil Beach to try some water sports. Kerala Munroe Island

Journey to the Land of Coconut Trees and Backwaters – Kerala Munroe Island: This island was named after Colonel John Munroe, the British Resident of erstwhile Travancore State, also known as Mundrothuruthu. It is an inland island located at the confluence of Ashtamudi Lake and the Kallada River, which is almost 25 km away from Kollam city. This place is actually composed of 8 islands, separated by small water channels and lakes. To witness the beauty of this mystical island, one can hire a canoe boat, which can take you through mangrove forests via narrow canals and waterways and coconut farms on the lakeshore. Munroe Island is the most unexplored destination and the hidden pearl in the backwaters.
